Thuret belonged to a Huguenot family, merchants from St. Quentin (the biggest town in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Aisne\">Aisn\u00e9 d\u00e9partement.<\/a>&nbsp;His grandfather Jean Daniel Thuret (1706-1767) settled in Weesp after 1722 or 1730? A woman walking with her daughter entering the town from the riverside almost fell in the water trying to avoid him and his horse. She complained about his behavior after a second attack.[https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/folders\/0Bw7zZrbd8ZOBeC01aEFNZ1A1Mmc]<\/p>\n<p class=\"Normal\">In 1758 Daniel married&nbsp;<a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.genealogieonline.nl\/de\/west-europese-adel\/I1074062817.php\" data-toggle=\"tooltip\" data-placement=\"bottom\" data-original-title=\"Partner von Dani\u00ebl I Thuret\">Maria Baers(el)man<\/a> who died in 1765; he remarried in 1766<a href=\"https:\/\/www.knggw.nl\/wp-content\/leeuw\/1914-121-215.pdf\"><em>&nbsp;Susanna Maria<\/em>&nbsp;de&nbsp;<em>Putter<\/em><\/a>, a daughter of the French preacher in Naarden. Just South of town centre.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Isaac owned a ware house in the Sleutelsteeg and several houses on Herengracht (northside) in Weesp. His grandfather Jan a tinkering on Achtergracht?&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In 1788 his sister Susanne Anthonia Thuret married in Amsterdam Jan Hendrik Ringeling from Cura\u00e7ao. Her uncle Isaac Thuret (1744-1815),[<a href=\"https:\/\/www.archieven.nl\/nl\/zoeken?mistart=0&amp;mivast=0&amp;mizig=236&amp;miadt=386&amp;miaet=54&amp;micode=GAW135_2&amp;milang=nl&amp;misort=last_mod%7Cdesc&amp;miview=ldt&amp;mizk_alle=thuret\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DTB N-H kerk Weesp, deel 2, doopregister, 1726-1788 ( Regionaal Historisch Centrum Vecht en Venen )<\/a>] who never married, and Jan Dorland were her guardians. (Ringeling and Thuret divorced in 1804.) In July 1792 they consented the marriage of Johanna Magdalena Thuret, Thurets 18-years old sister to 22-years old Arnout Wils, living on Prinsengracht.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Normal\">Thuret was a merchant, and owned a ship. He collaborated with Arnoud Wils, a broker.&nbsp;<span class=\"locution\">Isaac Thuret<\/span>&nbsp;was in charge of the house Wils &amp; Co since 1790? The company made its fortune in the coffee trade? Around 1796 with financing three English princes, Frederick V, the &nbsp;landgrave of Hesse-Homburg&nbsp;and Christian August, Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont.&nbsp;Around 1804 made a profit with tea? Silk and cotton seems also likely.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Normal\"><span class=\"locution\">On January 29, 1795 Isaac Thuret<\/span>&nbsp;was appointed by the new Magistrate of Amsterdam in the &#8220;Comit\u00e9 van Expeditie&#8221; which had to settle the problems with the French \u00e9migr\u00e9s, in my point of view not with the troupes.[Jaarboek Amstelodamum (1914)&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/amstelodamum-archief.nl\/resources\/1914_jb_12.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">COMIT\u00c9S VOOR MILITAIRE ZAKEN, p. 18<\/a>] (500 French immigrants were imprisoned during the invasion of Holland&nbsp;<span class=\"chrono\">in 1794<\/span>-1795. DBNL<\/a>]<\/p>\n<p class=\"Normal\"><span class=\"locution\"><span class=\"chrono\">On May 19, 1798<\/span>&nbsp;the 24-years old Isaac Thuret, living in the Utrechtsestraat,<\/span>&nbsp;married in Baarn the 17-years-old Cornelia Henrica van Steenbergen, living on Keizersgracht. Their first child was Susanna Maria&nbsp; (9 February 1799-28 March 1800) baptized and buried in Amsterdam. <span class=\"locution\">In 1800 Isaac Thuret&nbsp;<\/span>moved to Herengracht 439 in Amsterdam, together with his sister and brother-in-law, Aarnoud Wils.[<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amsterdamsegrachtenhuizen.info\/grachten\/hgo\/hgo5\/hg23439\/?tx_sbtab_pi1%5Btab%5D=4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Amsterdamse Grachtenhuizen<\/a>] On 1 september 1801 his wife died, 20-years old. In October 1802 he sold silk, cotton, pepper, ivory and rum in Antwerp; in December he tried to sell a ship there?&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 472px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amsterdamsegrachtenhuizen.info\/typo3temp\/pics\/11544c6e49.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"472\" height=\"600\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Herengracht 439, built in 1701<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<pre>Zijn broer Dani\u00ebl Thuret richtte in 1801 een handelshuis en annex bank op in Antwerpen. C\u00e9sar Labouchere was a banker and diplomat, and a partner of the Hope&#8217;s.<sup class='footnote'><a href='#fn-5609-1' id='fnref-5609-1' onclick='return fdfootnote_show(5609)'>1<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 534px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.memorix.nl\/rkd\/thumb\/650x650\/178e554a-74e3-c630-e08c-38813c26a3a6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"534\" height=\"650\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Portrait of Pierre Cesar Labouchere (1771-1839) https:\/\/rkd.nl\/nl\/explore\/images\/127227<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<pre><a title=\"Hope &amp; Co.\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hope_%26_Co.\">Hope &amp; Co.<\/a>&nbsp;of&nbsp;Amsterdam, the most powerful merchant bank in Europe's leading financial centre, was Baring's most valuable connection. Their association is said to have begun in the 1760s, when&nbsp;<a title=\"Henry Hope\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Henry_Hope\">Henry Hope<\/a>&nbsp;passed Baring some bills to negotiate and ended up \u2018exceedingly struck with the transaction which bespoke not only great zeal and activity, but what was still more important ... either good credit or great resources ... From that day Baring became one of their principal friends\u2019 (Barings archives, DEP249). The link was consolidated in other ways, in particular through the marriage in 1796 of&nbsp;Pierre C\u00e9sar Labouch\u00e8re&nbsp;[see under Hope family], a leading figure at Hopes, to Baring's third daughter, Dorothy.<\/pre>\n<p class=\"Normal\"><span class=\"locution\">There Thuret<\/span>&nbsp;met Henrietta van der Paadevoort (Padevoirt), the daughter of a navy officer, born 4&nbsp;January&nbsp;1790&nbsp; in Demerara (now French Guyana). O<span class=\"chrono\">n 28 July 1808&nbsp;<\/span>they married&nbsp;in Saint-Martin-in-the-Fields in London.
